Dear everyone,
For a while now, Jessee and I have been planning to elope. It took years of planning, and replanning. Where we landed was somewhere I’ve always dreamed of visiting. October 15th, we picked up my two best of friends or sisters, if you will,
@highladyjo and
@quoteththe.raven . We also flew out our photographer
@sabrateelphotography . Sabra and I have known each other for a few years now, and I’m happy to call her a friend and colleague. I wouldn’t have chosen anyone else to go with us on this adventure.
October 16th, My dad met us in Forks, WA to officiate the wedding. We drove an hour outside of town, where Jessee and I spoke our personal vows to one another under the tallest of trees in the HOH Rainforest, Olympic National Park. We were surrounded by moss, and mushrooms. I cried a lot, and laughed even more.
Afterward, we signed our marriage license on Bella’s truck. A last minute “what the hell?” gag, and took photos in front of the “Welcome to Forks” sign. The rest of the day, we scaled giant rocks on La Push beach, and did a tiny hike to a waterfall. My wedding dress is filthy, dirt and sand clinging to the lace, and I wouldn’t change a single thing. It was the most perfect day with the most perfect person. As I’m writing this, we have gone whale watching, hiked on cliffs, and watched harbor seals from our Airbnb window. Jessee and I are watching the Twilight series, he hasn’t seen the Eclipse through Breaking Dawn part two, and now I totally understand why he has been Team Jacob all this time.
I have never felt so overjoyed. So content.
With love, Mrs. Everett
