**A Global Honour. A Humbling Moment.** Last week in London, I was named the recipient of the **WXO Contribution of the Year Award 2026** - recognised by the World Experience Organization for outstanding contribution to its global network. I am writing this still trying to find the right words. The WXO is the rare professional community where ideas travel as freely as friendships, where emerging makers share a stage with industry pioneers, and where every conversation seems to leave you better than it found you. To be recognised by a network like this is profoundly meaningful, not because of the trophy, but because of what the trophy represents: **the trust of your peers**. A few things I left London with: • Experience design is no longer a niche craft - it is fast becoming the operating language of brands, cities, and culture itself. • The boundary between "audience" and "participant" continues to dissolve. Our job is to design for agency, not attention. • India has a story to tell the world - one of layered traditions, modern ambition, and the unique ability to turn the everyday into the extraordinary. We must keep telling it, on every stage we earn. My deepest thanks to **James Wallman** for building (and so generously stewarding) this remarkable organisation; to the WXO team for an unforgettable London Experience Week; and to every member of the global WXO family who continues to teach me, challenge me, and inspire me. There is a profound difference between decorating a venue and staging it. At Villa Gastel, on the shores of Lake Como, a private event was not treated as décor - it was conceived as theatre. With dramaturgy, choreography, scenography, and cast. The site itself demanded nothing less. A 12th-century Benedictine convent, later the residence of the Visconti di Modrone family, and a place where Federico Fellini found inspiration - this was a venue layered with history, memory, and meaning. Spaces of such density do not accept ornament. They demand narrative. Fabio Massimo Iaquone’s immersive projections rewrote the historic facades. Thomas Signorelli’s choreography moved in perfect dialogue with videomapping. Angela Buscemi’s 1920s-inspired costumes became living tableaux vivants. Vincenzo Dascanio’s floral architecture shaped the grand entrance, framed by six-metre flames and Massimo Tomasino’s laser mapping. The intimate register was held beautifully by soprano Serena Gamberoni and violinist Stella Manfredi, while tangueros Pablo Valentin Moyano and Ambra Amari brought the Argentine pulse - becoming the silent thread connecting East, West, and the timeless poetry of the Italian lake. This is the lesson - repeatable across luxury celebrations, fashion shows, destination weddings, and institutional ceremonies: When artistic direction governs every layer - scenography, costume, light, music, choreography, and emotion - an event transcends production and becomes an experience. At E-Factor Experiences, this is what we believe in. Not just decoration. Not spectacle for spectacle’s sake. But experiences with soul, memory, and meaning.
