for one week only, the works that have been mine for so long, will become yours. “this is what living feels like” will be at @remotegallery from May 22-28 with events taking place all week, a full program rooted in connection and community. the goal is to not just exist, but to participate, let’s do that together :) for the first time ever, this work will be displayed, and for the first time ever (probably?) you’ll be allowed to, and encouraged, to touch the work, to feel it tangibly under your fingertips. this is beyond a standard gallery show and we’ll be breaking some rules by bringing you texture and mixed media this way. let’s feel it all in person starting next week. find dates, show times and workshops at the link in my bio :)

“this is what living feels like” is coming to you for the first time as a solo collection this may at the remote gallery in toronto. please join me for opening night to celebrate and absorb this labour of love in person. i am beyond grateful for the ability to share my work with you, this is a deeply personal collection and is really a piece of my soul, my history, and my experience as a human on this earth. all are welcome and encouraged to join in :) let’s eat and drink and talk about it all on may 22nd from 7-9pm. link for tickets in my bio. with love, sami

lil sneak peek at some of the works in next weeks show! ‘this is what living feels like’ is a title with a double meaning, both alluding to the themes addressed in the works, that is the questions and conditions of being human, and also the very literal sensation of feeling in a tactile sense through mixed media and texture. we’re placing consciousness in this sensory lens intentionally, we are feeling things, let’s lean into it!!! this is a 21 piece collection spanning feelings of grief and helplessness to exploration and possibility. i can’t believe it’s coming to you as a full collection but i am incredibly proud and eager to share these pieces with you. the show is may 22-28 and will have a series of workshops & community events that will turn the space into action-oriented opportunities for joy and creativity. check out my page for the dates and times for those! if you’re hoping to see the show as god (me) intended, here are open gallery times: friday, may 22 7-9pm opening (ticketed) free access: mon, may 25 @ 1pm-4pm tue, may 26 @ 10am-1pm wed, may 27 @ 4-6pm thu, may 28 @ 11-1pm see u all there :) #mixedmediaart #mixedmedia #galleryshow #torontoartist #torontogallery
