Located in Milwaukee, Greenfield, and Oak Creek, The Salvation Army food pantries provide families with a two- to three-day supply of emergency food, available the same day assistance is requested.

The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County's three corps community centers help meet basic needs by distributing clothing items to individuals and families in need. This includes seasonal essentials like children's coats through initiatives such as FOX6's Coats for Kids, helping ensure children stay warm during cold weather.
Did you know The Salvation Army operates a homeless shelter in Milwaukee that serves both individuals and families? The Emergency Lodge offers safe shelter, nutritious meals, medical care, and supportive services for people experiencing homelessness. With 120 beds available, residents work one-on-one with social workers to create personalized plans that support long-term stability and permanent housing.
Volunteer of the Year Spotlight: St. Paul Outreach Ministries
At our 2025 Annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, we were honored to recognize St. Paul Outreach Ministries as a "Doing the Most Good" Volunteer of the Year award winner.
They have been a consistent and dedicated partner, bringing 30 volunteers to help pre-plate meals for our Christmas Family Feast and supporting Toys distributions and other events throughout the year. Their team also provides bilingual support to ensure every guest feels welcome and cared for.
In total, they contributed 153 hours of service, reflecting their commitment to our mission and the spirit of Doing the Most Good.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley has proclaimed May 11–17 as National Salvation Army Week, recognizing The Salvation Army’s year-round impact serving local families. While many know The Salvation Army for its holiday bell ringers, the organization provides support year-round to individuals and families facing housing instability, food insecurity, and financial hardship.
Our Emergency Lodge homeless shelter is celebrating Mother’s Day! In addition to recognizing all moms and special women on our bulletin board, moms in our Family Program will also receive a small gift in their honor.

The Salvation Army Milwaukee County provides social services case management that focuses on immediate, practical support for individuals and families in crisis. Assistance may include food support, thrift store vouchers for essential household items and clothing, and emergency housing help for those facing homelessness or unsafe living situations.
Employees from TIDI Products partnered with us at The Salvation Army Milwaukee Cold Spring last week for a hands-on volunteer day. The team worked together to remove weeds and plant new seeds, helping restore the area and support its continued growth.
The produce grown in our garden beds is harvested and distributed through our food pantry, helping ensure fresh, nutritious food reaches individuals and families in our community who need it most.

What a weekend! We are so grateful to have been a part of the 2nd Annual CAFF Family Day, hosted by the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation, Kids Impact Community, and Babbling Babes.
Not only did this event support countless families in person, but we were also invited to pick up remaining items this morning! These donations will go directly to supporting the families currently staying at The Emergency Lodge.

Volunteer of the Year Spotlight: Landmark Credit Union
At our 2025 Annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, we were honored to recognize Landmark Credit Union as a "Doing the Most Good" Volunteer of the Year award winner.
Landmark Credit Union has shown consistent dedication and generosity across multiple Salvation Army programs. From Toys and Coats distributions to the Telethon and Feed the Kids Program, their team has shared their time and energy wherever it is needed most.
This past year alone, Landmark volunteers contributed 215 hours and supported a drive-through coat collection that provided 1,856 coats to help keep children and families warm during the winter months.
Their commitment and support truly reflect the heart of our mission and the spirit of Doing the Most Good.

At our 2025 Annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, we were honored to recognize Viola Redic and the Amazon team as Volunteer of the Year award winners.
Their energy, creativity, and heart have made a lasting impact across our programs. From serving as our mascot to leading decorating for the Christmas Family Feast, they bring enthusiasm to everything they do.
They have also supported Feed the Kids, coat distributions, our Golf Outing, and Telethons, helping each event run smoothly.
