Happy Earth Day! My favorite holiday🏔️🤍
To celebrate, I’m sharing a few of my favorite moments from Peru, specifically the Salkantay Trail.
As usual, I showed up with no plans, no booked stays, just trusting I meet locals and other backpackers to direct me. This time was slightly different. I knew what to expect for five out of the fourteen days… the rest I figured out on the fly, of course haha.
I’d never done a trek before. I don’t even think I’ve hiked more than four miles lol-I just knew I loved being outside. So I thought, why not start here?? I booked this experience three weeks in advance (very early for me lol), and it completely shifted how I prioritize the countries I visit as a young lady. I now need to do a trek at least once a year. I just know I’ll keep taking myself to do it :)
I showed up alone, but spent my time with incredible people from all over the world, shooting the shit about our different lives while hiking through the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen- to date. My guides, Águila and Ramiro, were so passionate about Inca traditions. At every stop, you could feel their devotion- in the way they shared stories, introduced us to native plants, local food, and the history of Peru. **side note. I tried guinea pig (on accident) but glad I did because it’s a novelty dish haha
Standing in Machu Picchu was intense. You can feel the energy there and the presence of the people who came before us. The blood, sweat, and intention it took to build something the world still dreams of seeing.
I love this earth, and I’m working every day to experience as much of it as I can while learning what I can do to help take care of it.
I love the people on it too and I’ll keep connecting with them for as long as I’m here.

These images of @tombrady hold such a special place in my heart!! It was an incredible honor to photograph the GOAT, but what was even more meaningful was stepping onto a stadium field at such an early stage in my career.
The stadium was intense (in the way you hope to feel lol) but what impacted me most was how encouraged and uplifted I felt by the team around me. Their belief and collaboration gave me confidence I still carry today.
