Releasing a new short film today titled "Am I an Artist?" featuring Portland area sculptor @brianmockart Film link in bio. Original music score by Travis Forencich @eiffeltravis Thanks for checking it out 🙏 The word "artist" is thrown around so much these days it’s become almost meaningless. Does doing art at any level make you an artist? Is there a standard that confers the title? Is it cool to label yourself an artist? Are you a fine artist, a starving artist, or a scam artist? While on a philosophical level some might argue that we are all “artists”, what room does that leave for the massively skilled and highly creative practitioner? Please join internationally celebrated metal sculptor Brian Mock as he navigates the question: Am I an artist?

The sun does its best Eye of Sauron imitation atop the main spire of the Riddarholmen Church in Stockholm, Sweden. With parts of the church dating back to the late 13th century, it’s one of the oldest buildings in Stockholm. The church serves as the final resting place of most Swedish monarchs. The Skógafoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland. According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. A magnet for tourists, we were calling this the Multnomah Falls of Iceland (a popular waterfall where we live in Portland). No, we didn’t find the treasure. Waves wash up on the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, just outside the town of Vik in Iceland. We spent a couple of days sightseeing from a rental car which was both amazing and frustrating. Spectacular scenery abounds, but there are very few places to pull over safely to take photos. Probably prevents a lot of accidents during the high season though. #blacksandbeach #vik #infrared #infraredphotography #irphotography #aerochrome #fineartphotograhy #creativeinfrared_global #kolarivision #infrared_global #infrarouge #notai #icelandtravel #visiticeland #exploreiceland @kolarivision
