The Skógafoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland. According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. Waves wash up on the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, just outside the town of Vik in Iceland. We spent a couple of days sightseeing from a rental car which was both amazing and frustrating. Spectacular scenery abounds, but there are very few places to pull over safely to take photos.
