Work study student Thomas will be taking over the SAME Café kitchen on Wednesday 5/20! On the menu will be: House-made meatball and tomato soup, Loaded Potato soup, and cherry lemonade! Stop by next Wednesday 11:00 am-2:30 pm to try Thomas's menu.

SAME Café (So All May Eat) in Denver is a non-profit, pay-what-you-can restaurant that provides healthy, organic meals to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, fostering community through food. Patrons can pay with money, an hour of volunteer service, or fresh produce, ensuring access for all, including those experiencing homelessness. It operates on a donation-based model, relying on volunteers and community support to serve meals with dignity.

As usual, our open mic will kick off at 6:30pm and doors/food ordering/signups start at 6. Our feature this month whom will perform around 7:45/halfway through the mic is @vic_the_wizard 🧙‍♂️! Victor the Wizard is a comedic magician who blends classic sleight-of-hand with absurd, modern humor. His act explores the chaos of a fantasy wizard navigating today’s world, delivering interactive magic and unexpected laughs. Come hungry for community and about 20 6-minute long sets of poetry, music, comedy, stories, dance, and ... 15 minutes of magic! 🪄 As a reminder, @samecafedenver (So All May Eat) is a non-profit entirely funded by individual donations and grants. We offer pay-what-you-can meals of the day and rely on volunteers to serve the majority of our customers who live on the streets of Colfax/Denver. Usually open 11-2:30pm on weekdays, we reopen late every month for the So All May Express open mic. We are in need of low-stakes volunteers to help serve food during our open mic and in general! NEW FOOD TRUCK DROP! Tomorrow, May 2 • @cityparkfarmersmarket • 8 AM–1 PM SAME Café finally has its wheels back! The brand‑new food truck is making its first official appearance tomorrow at the City Park Farmers Market, serving pay‑what‑you‑can breakfast and lunch to kick off the Farmer's Market season. This long‑anticipated project was made possible through the generous support of Montview Presbyterian Church Foundation. Thank you for fueling and sharing our mission to make healthy food accessible to all. And heartfelt thanks to a beloved community member who donated their time and artistic talent to create the stunning mural that wraps the truck, beautifully depicting SAME's mission: So All May Eat. Come celebrate this milestone with us, enjoy healthy food, and see the new truck in action.
