Victoria show update! @elbow.kiss is opening the night, excited to share the bill with such a beautiful voice & presence.
Poster is maybe a bit confusing, DOORS at 7 and Elbow Kiss plays at 7:30 sharp. Spread the word!
It’s special to open for Charlotte in Vancouver! Back in the day, Charlotte encouraged me to come to Toronto, helped me get a job, and even drummed in my band for a while. She has always been a generous and thoughtful friend. It feels great / full circle to open for her in my home province and home city & celebrate her great new record. We will also be playing new songs; may the spirit of Spring flow freely through us all.

Today we released a live video for our song Fear You. Lately we have been performing a drum-less version of this song which is quite different from the version on the EP, I was glad to get it captured. Shot on a late night the day after a big show, hanging out in the living room.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped with this. See the full version on YouTube.

New video work for @shadkmusic - out today!
This was an off the cuff shoot. Shad and I decided to try making a music video while we were both in the Yukon performing at Dawson City Music Festival. We had been out late the night before and had about two hours to shoot everything before catching our flight home. Megan Gamble drove us around for a few final shots, then we threw our instruments and bags in the bed of her truck bed and frantically blasted straight to the airport shuttle.
Shad was un-phased & made this so easy. He is truly in it for the love of the game. Inspiring is an overused term but he reminds me why I started doing this. This is one of my favourite of his tracks, a song for eschewing capitalist hierarchies in favour of being connected to our community and land. The Trʼondëk Hwëchʼin First Nation have lived along the Yukon river for thousands of years, so the song’s themes echo-ed all around us.
Filmed on the territory of the Trʼondëk Hwëchʼin First Nation
Thanks to
@megan.ramble - for the truck
@classicyas_ & @kiacyukon - for the tripod
@corbinmurdoch and @dawsoncitymusicfest - for facilitating

Here is a little video demo reel for 2025 - a non-exhaustive collection of clips from videos I directed & shot this year. I also made this track - it felt fitting to score the demo reel as I pursue film composing further as well. Thanks to icon @benbillyd for his saxophone top-line.
Video work was initially just a way to help me to sustain my music but I have really enjoyed it this past few years. I sometimes struggle to keep on top of two mediums, I have a one-track mind. But the music and video feed each other in interesting & mostly positive ways. My dream would be to one day direct a feature film and create my own score.
Thanks so much to everyone I worked with on videos this year! Thanks for having me! It was fun. And please hire me in 2026. PLEASE.

@wolfmanhann helped me film this one night, and @kathryndurst was teaching me how to animate lettering by hand.
