it’s hard to believe that ten years ago today I made my Broadway debut in @lesmizus and my life completely changed.
little old ten year old Sam had no idea of the privilege and gift it was to step onto the Imperial Theatre stage and die everyday for a year. In that year I learned how to tell stories, how to love and lean on my family and close friends for support, how to manage a full time job while learning long-division in middle school, and how to make people smile, laugh and cry each night. While I’ll never get to watch the magic we created on the stage, I’ll forever hold the memories in my heart and watch the *bootlegs* on YouTube (sorry sir Cameron Mackintosh). Trust me, if you look hard enough you can find them too.
to finish off this sappy post, here’s the most important lesson I’ve learned in those ten years: little people may look easy pickings but they’ve got a hell of a bite.
