While Iāve been making these little flowers for quite some time, Iāve never really talked about where the design is inspired from and why I make them. Check out my last reel for the story behind these! āŗļø

This video was made from being struck by pure inspiration. And I love it so much ā¤ļø
Many of you know I bead, but donāt really sell it often. Iāve always found it easier to trade or gift. Iāve been doing so since I was around 15 years old.
But Iāve recently made some career changes - stepping back from video design for a moment, to pursue something very meaningful which Iāll get into later ⨠it just means that Iām incredibly short on funds š¬
Making things with my hands has always been a form of sustaining myself and my family. This is what I was taught as Kichwa runa. As Mindalae (even before the creation of colonial borders) weāve been doing it for generations and generations.
I was shooting some photos of these earrings I made and my love @razellebenally came to check out what I was up to.
I had found this lil desert bush and the sun was setting. She grabbed the camera and took some test shots and started playing around with them. She told me she could take some video of me wearing what I had made. I said I could do a voiceover talking about the design of the earrings. I wanted something slow and peaceful, to break the fastness of social media.
And so this little video was born from the spur of the moment. A visual poem made by both of us.
I think itās super cute and sweet and powerful.
Itās so wonderful to feel free to play again. Thank you Razelle, for playing with me ā¤ļø
And also, if you read this far down, seriously. I need to sell these pieces to pay the bills š„ so please support!! Info on these earrings in my next 3 posts. And Iāll have more pieces to come in the next few weeks so stay tuned as I drop more photos and info of available pairs.

A result of patriarchy is that from a young age, women around the world are taught to be at the service of men first and foremost.
There is little space to feel empowered and often, when women and girls have that opportunity, that confidence gets shattered. āYouāre not perfect enoughā, is the message we receive.
And thatās changing bit by bit. For some, that confidence gets nurtured from an early age, for others, that confidence is earned back at a later stage in life. But hey, itās better now than never.
And thatās what this video celebrates. Sure itās to showcase these pretty new earrings on our website! But more than anything, this is the first shoot Iāve ever done where Iām not afraid to look pretty and to be proud of it. That itās not scary. That being beautiful can look so many ways. And the way that I am is already wonderfully perfect ā¤ļø
You are your own wonderfully perfect, and I am SO proud of you for seeing that, even when itās hard šø
Hi everyone!!! Iāve been putting together a tiny collection bit by bit, knowing thereās some expenses I have that are going to be hard to cover. This year Iām sort of making a career pivot, so itās going to be rough going for a bit š I hope you like the direction my style has been going in! :) this time around I used my best materials š with sterling silver in each pair!
I made my classic floral design, inspired by the top I wear that is part of my traditional clothing šø AND Iām super excited about these double sided beaded round drops that are super cute.
I wanted something dainty and dangly. And because they dangle I didnāt want the backs to be seen so I made them double sided! With beads on front and back featuring two colours (except one).

Okay everyone, I fully Virgoed so hard on this one and I love it so much š
Throughout the years, I was finding that in the non stop activity that is life, I had no idea where all my energy was going. I knew I was doing one thing after the other, burnout after burnout after burnout. Capitalism has us in the wheel running, running, running with no end.
I was also finding that I was forgetting that things like doing taxes, running bank errands, school paperwork, getting my new OHIP cause I lost it for the 4th time; all of that is WORK. So when I had a break from my paid job, and Iād finally do all those things, my rest time wasnāt actually rest. It was just me catching up with life. No wonder all of us are burnout central āØ
Putting where my energy actually goes on paper helps me IMMENSELY to figure out where I am at AND where I want to change. But honestly⦠more than anything this chart REMINDS me throughout the whole year, where my priorities are, and therefore⦠where my values are.
When I get lost and confused, I look at it as a place of grounding. If I feel like Iām useless and havenāt done anything, I look at it and say āhey, Im doing this xyz thing thatās monumental because of xyz!ā. Or if I feel like my spirit isnāt being nurtured Iām reminded: āhey, Iāve been forgetting to pray everydayā. Or if I feel like my body isnāt active I remember I can activate it through music.
This chart is super personal to you. So music for example, can be in your spirit quadrant, but at the same time, connected to all the other ones! Why? Cause nothing exists in a vacuum š
Anyways, hope you enjoyed my little series!! Should I do more?!
From me to you š
I grew up knowing about Sumak Kawsay. It is a teaching taught to all us kids not necessarily through the naming of it, but by the way that we live. My parents definitely made sure we all did our part to contribute towards our family wellbeing, no matter our age. And I really, truly value that.
For the first time Iām actually incorporating it into my way of living as an actual term, and not some abstract concept that I aspire to regardless.
The idea of Sumak Kawsay actually exists around the world. So Iām super curious about what itās called in your tradition. And if it doesnāt exist, then thatās actually a beautiful challenge. What words would you use to signify that harmony we should be in with each other? Thatās revolutionary right there š„ Cultural change for the betterment of all peoples š
Happy 10 Year Anniversary to me and me š If youāve known me for a while, you know whatās up. If weāre newish in each others lives, then you probably donāt know what this is about!
Every year I block off time to reflect on my past year, take in everything that happened, close it up, and mentally lay it to rest so that I can welcome in the next year. Itās definitely more involved than vision boarding because it requires various days in a particular state of mind.
While January 1st is not my new year traditionally, I still see value in taking advantage of a time where thereās a lull in activity. When the snow piles high and everyone is inside.
It gives me time to focus on me. Which⦠is hard to come by as the eldest daughter of a Mindalae family.
Iāve always wanted to share my process. And in celebration of my 10th year, Iām getting super vulnerable and putting a little piece of me out there in hopes that it resonates. Honestly⦠one of the things that helps me move through hardship is knowing Iām not by myself, and that many other people relate to what Iām going through and can understand it.
So. This is my first offering ā¤ļøāØ
I know this is coming during a really HARD and dystopian time. But if thereās anything to take from this, is that we have to keep moving strong, inspired by the acts of care and love weāre seeing on our screens. Showing up for others means showing up for you and vice versa š«
The one who started it all ⨠My life did a whole 360 when you came into it. I honestly cannot attribute this growth in my life all to myself. Because we all need medicine to see ourselves. And you are mine.
When air meets earth itās incredibly powerful. When the duality of white and black are in balance, itās wild to see the incredible things that come out of it. Mountain and plains all in one place.
Like damn⦠arenāt we so beautiful?
Yupaychani my love, for showing me itās not scary to feel pretty, for growing alongside me in this wild ride of a life we have. For your dedication to each other. For your song thatās clears my spirit. For making me laugh and blowing my mind with your brilliance.
Today is January 1st. This is not the beginning of our journey, but it is the start of a new cycle with sooooo many more to come. I cannot wait for all the things to come this year. Im so proud of you for making it this far, and so proud of you for keeping on going.
