ECSTATIC to see Queen of Chess in my Netflix notifications!
I had the privilege of watching a screener, and it's an utterly wonderful documentary about one of the greatest to ever do it, Judit Polgar!! Cannot recommend it enough!

📢 Calling all Columbia-area Chess.com members!
Chess.com's co-founder, @dannyrensch , is visiting the @columbiachessclub THIS SATURDAY and will be doing a book signing, Q and A, and exhibition. Danny's book, Dark Squares, is one of the best books of last year. Danny's story of growing up in a cult, being one of the most talented chess prodigies in the United States, and a co-founder of Chess.com is incredible and wonderfully told in Dark Squares.
This is a special Columbia opportunity - not to be missed! The Q and A will start at 6:30, and you can show up early for the Meet and Greet and signing opportunity. Books available for purchase on site.
See / for details.
It's been a surreal experience working with Daniel Rensch through some incredible times at Chess.com. I knew a bit about Danny's story as a chess prodigy, but the amazing story of his upbringing in a cult, the Church of Immortal Consciousness, and the intersection of this part of his life with our work at Chess.com stunned me.
Danny's book (available today!) is incredible. His experience as a child in a cult is at times heartbreaking, at times triumphant, but at all times riveting, and in Dark Squares, the story is vibrantly told. Read it. You won't regret it!
Today, I scored my first classical win against a grandmaster, and I got to do it in the style of Tal with a Sicilian Nf5!? piece sac and some exciting tactics! I could not be more hype
