Sam is a guitarist, songwriter, and educator based in Seattle, Washington. Active as a bandleader and freelance guitarist since 2010, he is also the guitarist and co-arranger for Seattle neo-soul band Hard Maybe. Known for his understated, story-driven approach to improvisation, Sam emphasizes motivic development, melodic clarity, and emotional arc. His influences include Wayne Shorter, John Scofield, Lee Morgan, Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, and Eddie Harris. ๐ธ๐ถ
