Do you love Polaroids as much as I do? Took my vintage Polaroid camera to the Drift Sales in October 2025 @grangeequestrian It was my first encounter with the beautiful ponies that are bred on Dartmoor…I fell in love and the rest is history 🐴 #dartmoornationalpark #dartmoorponies #ponyauction #dartmoorhillpony

Greetings from this beautiful horse I met on the way to Santiago de Compostela 🐎 Fun fact I just learned: when horses whinny, they actually produce two sounds at once — a low “voice” from vibrating vocal folds and a high-pitched whistle from their larynx. Basically singing and whistling at the same time. Since horses are highly social animals, they use whinnies to greet each other, stay in contact over long distances, or call the herd when they’re stressed. And just like our voices, every horse’s whinny is unique. So cool. Learn more: https://www1.bio.ku.dk/english/news/2026/how-horses-whinny-whistling-while-singing/

Impressions from 2023 at the historic Pfingstritt in Bad Kötzting 🐎🥁 Every Pentecost Monday, around 700 riders take part in this centuries-old horseback pilgrimage — a powerful expression of faith, tradition, and community. In keeping with long-standing custom, the procession is made up exclusively of men. Traditional attire, decorated horses, and the sound of hooves rolling through the Bavarian countryside make this one of the most impressive equestrian traditions in Europe. A living heritage carried forward year after year which I photographed for my university course on „Pilgrimages“. #Pfingstritt #BadKötzting #Bavaria #bayern

One year ago today @anjouvartmann and I did a little thing… we walked 270km on the Camino de Santiago from Porto to Santiago de Compostela 🥾✨ Did I stop at every single pasture to say hi to the horses? Absolutely. No regrets. 🐴 Were those 270km one of the best experiences of my life? Hell yes. Blisters. Occasional February rain. Questioning our life choices somewhere around km 198. And somehow… I’d do it all again in a heartbeat. 🤍 #caminos #pilgrimvibes #270km #februarywalks #corememory

I will also pull over in my van every time I see a horse. That’s a no brainer to me 🔥🐎

Nope. I can not drive by a pasture with a horse and not get out and take a photo. And I am not embarrassed 😅 #yearofthefirehorse we are nearly there 🔥🐎

My first ever Dartmoor pony 🤍✨ Can’t believe how long ago this was. Misty mornings, wild moorland magic, and that soft early light that makes everything feel like a dream. 🌫️🐴 Forever chasing that feeling. 💫 #Dartmoor #MoorlandMagic #earlymorning #dartmoorpony #dartmoorponies
