So sorry I haven’t spoken personally yet about what’s been happening with the flood this year. To be totally honest I just haven’t known what to say. I’m so overwhelmed again by the support we have and continue to receive from our amazing families and friends and customers that have all become family and great friends to us. You have held us up in so many ways and we are forever grateful 🙏. We are good our heads still above water and so much stronger this time because of all of you🙌🏽 We have our health and are safe and will rebuild our home and business again.
We weren’t screaming from roof cavities or tops, praying to be rescued or running for our lives to be safe from war!! That’s what really matters. I have cried this time for those that have now gone through that first devastation of losing everything as we did last year. Losing your sentimental things really hits hard which brings back so many raw memories 😞 this time I’ve been told around Wisemans Ferry which has been one of the worst hit areas due to the bathtub effect of the major flooding in the Colo and McDonald river the biggest strugglers are elderly people that simply aren’t physically able to rebuild 😭 so I would ask all that can and want to help if you are heading down to wisemans this weekend to pls help the local community by grabbing on the way any new non perishable supplies, cleaning products,towels, shoes or clothes etc you no longer need and drop them to the donation centre which is now down the driveway next to the medical centre in Wisemans as the bowling club also got flooded this year. Well that was quick! One extreme to another! Unfortunately our place flooded yesterday however no water through the other two cabins or kitchen and bathroom area thanks so much for all the messages and calls and the help of @phil_brannigan Wazza @_ryan_galea_@declannnn02@zahrakell@kaylapriday for helping with the boats, gear around the place and lifting furniture and to @traceyblake1 & Marty for looking after us and giving us a dry place to sleep ❤️❤️ we would have lost so much more without you guys. Now begins the clean up 🤪
