A closer look into the immersive Betsey Johnson pop-up at Shopify SoHo. The universe of the Betsey girl was brought to life in four landscapes; each complete with their own handcrafted artifacts, nostalgic finishes and shoppable pieces displayed in immersive methods. The Art of Betsey The through line of Betsey Johnson’s universe is the space for artistic expression. It is only fitting for the creative anchor of Betsey’s pop-up to be two-stories of original artwork scaling the interior. The oversized runway was flanked by Johnson’s original pieces in various mediums, sizes and finishes. Art, fashion and celebration drew NYC icons together as Betsey Johnson’s retail store temporarily resurrected in SoHo. The eve of the 3-day Shopify takeover was an all-out party filled with legends including Julia Fox, Amanda Lepore and of course, Betsey Johnson. A bit of Betsey is woven into every detail of the pop-up and was amplified for the one-night-only affair. Just Dupe It! Oversized nutcrackers welcomed guests into Revlon’s holiday wonderland of playful “dupes”. A stop at the “Duponomy Candy” counter, where guests filled bags with sweets inspired by the bright shades of the new lippie was followed by a visit to the “Serendupity Bar,” offering hot chocolate in flavors matched the lip balm scents — each served in a custom, NYC-style bodega cup for the perfect seasonal touch. 📸 @poupayphoto
