The Salvation Army of North Texas is the largest social services provider in the region, helping our neighbors across 4,000 square miles with community-specific services that combat poverty, addiction, and homelessness.
Through volunteers, Salvation Army officers and employees, and generous donations we are able to aid over 100,000 people annually throughout six counties with an array of transformational services that encourage long-term stability and self-sufficiency. If you or anyone you know is struggling, visit our website or a Salvation Army location near you.

James’ story is a powerful reminder of why the new Dallas Social Services Campus is so crucial for our community. It will expand the ability to serve, ensuring more individuals have access to shelter, support, and compassionate care when they need it most.
This week, we celebrate National Salvation Army Week, honoring the mission and impact of The Salvation Army in communities across the nation. First proclaimed by then-President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1954, this week recognizes our ongoing commitment to meet human needs.
Here in North Texas, we’re proud to continue that legacy every day. Join us in celebrating the officers and staff, volunteers, donors, and partners who make our mission possible.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women whose love, strength, and sacrifices shape our families and communities. 💐
Today, we honor mothers, grandmothers, and maternal figures whose care and resilience inspire so many.

We’re so thankful to our “army behind The Army” at Universal Academy in Irving. Over the holidays, they collected more than 300 food and canned items to donate to The Salvation Army Irving Corps. To show our gratitude, Major Joe and Captain Maxie DeBlanc stopped by their campus with snacks and juice for the school.

Sometimes all it takes is one opportunity to shine. When Olyvia arrived at camp, she was very shy and reserved. But by summer’s end, she found her confidence, her friends, and her voice.
This transformation is why we do what we do. Through our camps and youth programs, we create more than just activities. We create a safe, encouraging space where kids can grow, believe in themselves, and step fully into who they are.

Summer is the hungriest time of year. When school is out, thousands of North Texas children lose access to the meals they depend on. For many families, this means tighter budgets for rent and other essentials.
The Salvation Army is here to help. Through our 13 food pantries, we provide meals and groceries to families and individuals in need. Last year, we distributed nearly 4 million pounds of food to more than 80,000 people.
