5 musicien·nes · 3 concerts · 1 album release party 🤘

Charbel Haber is a Lebanese musician, composer, and artist whose work navigates memory, decay, and the unstable afterlives of sound across music, film, and performance. A central figure in Lebanon’s experimental and alternative scenes since the late 1990s, he first emerged as co-founder of the influential post-rock group Scrambled Eggs, contributing to albums and film soundtracks that helped shape a generation of Beirut’s independent music.
Across solo projects and collaborations, Haber has developed a distinct language spanning electroacoustic composition, guitar-based experimentation, and long-form sonic structures. His solo album Of Palm Trees and Decomposition (Discrepant, 2016) and the retrospective cassette Songs of Love, Stories of Decay (Sucata Tapes, 2017) map a trajectory between experimental rock and electronic composition. He has collaborated extensively with Fadi Tabbal, including releases as The Bunny Tylers on Ruptured Records and the album Enfin la nuit (Nahal Recordings, 2023).
Haber has taken part in residencies and collaborations with EMS (Stockholm), GRM and the Tarek Atoui Studio (Paris), the Cité Internationale des Arts, and the Onassis Foundation. Based between Beirut and Paris, his work interrogates how personal and collective histories resonate through sound. For this performance, Charbel will present a solo reinterpretation of The Bunny Tylers (his duo with Fadi Tabbal), alongside new material.
