Hi Everyone, It’s The Hungry Curator here at Saison Cellar & Wine Bar. Yes, from THAT Saison, the Michelin-starred restaurant just a city block away, has just opened a chic new wine bar in Mission Bay, SF! It’s a more laid-back vibe compared to our dining experience there ages ago, but we loved the relaxed atmosphere. We just stopped by for a little nightcap this time, but we can’t wait to dive into the food on our next visit. For the full Saison experience, you can also check out their winery and tasting room in the South Bay. We’re absolutely thrilled to have this special spot right in our neighborhood!

The Cathiard family has landed in Napa. The owners of Château @smithhautlafitte in Bordeaux have started a new project, @cathiardvineyard , in one of the most historic wineries in the Valley at the foot of the Mayacamas, originally built in 1885. Their first vintage was 2020 and the wines are truly stunning. Blending freshness with elegance and old world with new, these wines reflect the best of both. They’ve created three very distinct wines exclusively using fruit from the estate. The property is organic and dry farmed and on its way to becoming biodynamic. Perfectly ripe fruit, terroir focused and mineral driven, their expertise in Bordeaux is clearly reflected in these wines stylistically. The estate is graced with 19th century art and statues from Europe and we could easily have stayed the entire afternoon to soak in the view. An amazing evening at the Guardsman’s @theguardsmen 47th annual San Francisco wine auction. The auction raises over half a million dollars for the benefit of at-risk youth in the Bay Area and has incredibly devoted, long-time members. Our dear friend Stuart Gordon was honored for his 50+ years as a member who has raised millions for the cause. We were honored to attend and to introduce the community to @saisonwinebar and donated a 1 year founding membership at Saison Cellar and Wine Bar to the event! Our Scotts Valley location is open now and SF will open this spring! We have private wine lockers and lounge for members and the wine bar is open to the public.🥂🍾 We were pouring our @saisonwinery wines and our collaboration project with Nicolas Potel, Maison de Partage. #sfwineauction
