I definitely underestimated how long it would take to frame and package all these prints. But praise be, that’s all done. ✔️ I’ve learned that at markets, prints can’t be out all loose in their nakedness. Oxtail soiled fingers won’t be catching me slipping again! No sir.
My neighbors probably think I’m doomsday prepping. Well I ain’t! I use the insulation to make travel cases for larger pieces. They’re collapsible, lightweight, sturdy, AND they double as packaging for buyers. Way easier than fooling around with bubble wrap and cardboard boxes. #themoreyouknow🌈⭐️ #
Still a few more to make before @artscapebmore this weekend (May 23-24).
Will I see you there? I hope so. 😊
Bruhhh!!! Today I’m getting “company ready”. You know, there’s your normal getting ready, but then there’s that extra bit you do when you’re having company. Artscape (@artscapebmore ) is a “company ready” prep level event. And there is so much that goes into preparing for an event like Artscape! This is going to be my first year in the market and I CANNOT be raggedy. I just cannot. So today I’m focused on getting my originals “company ready”. That means adding the piece info, writing out the certificates of authenticity, and screwing on these frames honey.
Artscape is the nation’s largest free outdoor arts festival. Featuring interactive visual arts exhibits, musical performances, poetry workshops and street dance, Artscape serves as a powerful platform for artistic expression, fostering community engagement and cultural innovation.
Will I see you there?! I hope🤞🏾!
