120 Years of Pure Soul: Rawhiti A2
Born in 1905 from the legendary drawing board of Arch Logan, Rawhiti is more than a yacht; she is a living masterpiece of New Zealand’s maritime heritage. Her name, meaning “The Place of the Rising Sun” in Maori, perfectly captures her timeless radiance on the water.
Built by the Logan Brothers with a triple-skin Kauri hull, this legend was designed to dominate the waves. Restored to her original grandeur between 2007 and 2011 by Peter Brookes, Rawhiti proves that true class never fades.

1911
Mariquita a 19 Metre designed by William Fife III.
⠀
Built to race.
Lost to time.
Returned — without changing what worked.
This isn’t revival.
It’s continuity.
⠀
Some hulls don’t belong to museums.
They belong to the wind.
⠀
The Legacy:
As the sole survivor of the 19mR class, Mariquita was brought back to life by the master craftsmen at Fairlie Restorations. After decades of silence as a houseboat, she was meticulously restored to her original 1911 specifications. Today, she remains a living testament to the Golden Age of sail.

1938.
Same sea.
Same rules.
This is Anne-Sophie — an 8 Metre that never became a museum piece.
She’s still out there,
moving through water the honest way.
