Project: Hybrid Narrative
8 weeks / designer's choice of topic + medium
Prompt: We never exist in one lens—people, places, and things aren't singular or absolute. A hybrid narrative blends seemingly different styles or elements to create a unique viewing experience and deepen audience connections (think elements of surprise or unexpected turns). Through a blending of topic, media, voice, style, or modalities, VCD capstone students are invited to create a narrative experience in which some element—formal, conceptual, or experiential—is hybridized.
