Deeply influenced by psychology and personal experience, Ștefan’s work explores emotional processing, vulnerability, and the complexity of human decision-making. Moving across drawing, sculpture, and immersive installation, his practice invites introspection while challenging expectations around men’s emotional expression.
Through experimentation and emotional honesty, Ștefan embraces discomfort as a catalyst for growth, creating works that connect deeply and reflect an ongoing process of self-discovery.
✨ Welcome, Ștefan.

The Path to Self collection, the end of a chapter and the beginning of so many beautiful new ones.
This collection marks the most personal and transformative journey I’ve taken so far, I’ve poured every part of myself into each project.
I’m endlessly grateful for the love, support and encouragement I’ve received along the way, and to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, from friends and mentors to the incredible technicians who made the impossible possible.❀

Project Lonicera is a performative exploration of emotional healing through artistic homecoming. The series features five paintings reimagined from the artist’s childhood works, paintings lost to time but retrieved through photographic traces.
This act of reinterpreting mirrors his therapeutic journey: returning to the origin of pain, confronting buried memory and transforming it through new understanding. Each painting is titled after a stage of grief, acknowledging it as a necessary step in the healing process.
At the centre is Lonicera, a darkened installation offers a single point of light emerging from a flower symbol, its petals echoing the paintings. The light now feels like a threshold. Warm, certain, yet beckoning towards something unknown.

Born from a collaboration between Romanian artist Stefan Fuga and Zimbabwean artist Tinashe Chipawe, Heirs to Manhood reflects on the shared weight of ideals tied to masculinity across cultures.
Both grew up within unspoken rules: to stay “strong”, hide emotion and carry struggle silently. Despite different histories, the expectations were remarkably alike, passed down as markers of worth and belonging.
The work is both confession and confrontation, asking what is lost when men are taught not to feel and whether strength must truly come at the cost of vulnerability.
