This is for the ones in godly sorrow.
Do not give up.
I know it’s difficult and I know you have questions. You know you are a new creation, yet your flesh keeps getting in the way and fights your desire to stay consistent in Christ. I know.
But here is a reminder.
God is in you and God is with you. Never forget that.
You have been falling, but you will rise.
2 Corinthians 7:10–11 says,
“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.”
Let your godly sorrow produce earnestness in you. Let it produce a deeper hunger for righteousness and a greater desire to hold onto Christ. Don’t let it pull you into condemnation. Be strong.
His word says that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Walk in that light.
From there, extend grace and mercy to yourself. Understand that the same way you practiced your members unto unrighteousness is the same way you must practice them unto righteousness. Over time, the latter will outweigh the former.
God will help you.
