there isn’t much new music i really love, but I do have a new found admiration for adrienne lenker and big thief. Love her lyrics, her voice, how she plays guitar…

To commemorate Radiohead’s first live show in 7 years, here’s when I first got my baby Jazzmaster around 2021, learning to play the only Radiohead song I could possibly learn as a beginner. #radiohead #radioheadcreep
Some years ago, I posted a cover of See You Later, a song first released by Heatmiser on Mic City Sons, and later an alternate solo version by Elliott Smith was released on New Moon.
Neil Gust listened to it and left me an amazing comment, which gave me the motivation and encouragement to keep learning and practicing guitar. I don’t know if he really knew how special it was for me to know he took the time to listen and leave a comment.

Fond farewell to Thee Parkside, not just one of the best San Francisco music venues and dive bars ever, it is also one of the best things about my old neighborhood, Po Hill. Thanks for all the great times, Parkside…
Had a nostalgic time hanging out like old times with my friends for a benefit punkrock show. Honestly, driving there, nothing felt like Po Hill anymore, except Parkside and Bottom of The Hill, both closing this year. And a sad truth - Parkside will be replaced by high rise condos (we can’t afford.)
Today news hit the streets that @theeparkside , a much loved music venue in my old SF hood will be demolished and replaced with condos. This is such awful news 😢😞
Before then, I’ll hope to enjoy a few last shows, including this fun event benefiting Muttville Senior Dog Rescue.

performing before Julie Doiron!
Beautiful songs… (this one is At The Party)
Enjoyed being in the front where I could watch up close how she played guitar and used a looper. Really cool stuff she did! It inspired me to practice more and want to learn how to write songs with a looper.

I have loved Julie Doiron’s music since I first heard her several years ago playing with Mount Eerie. And now that I have seen her live and had a chance to meet her, I love her even more!
Julie is so cool and down to earth, authentic and natural. I am so glad I could go to her show in L.A. at the Troubadour.
Julie, thanks for playing this song! One of my faves.
