Something To Believe In, 2023
Back in Summer 2023 we made this little experimental film. A fun way to stay busy in our break from the Studio.
The idea had been in my head for a while, but I’m so grateful it waited until I had the right people around me to get it out into the world. It started as a piece of poetry that eventually became this short film - we shot it over two evenings, Guerrilla Style 🎬
Thanks to everyone involved!
I really loved how this project came together - letting it grow and change as we all freely collaborated on it was a genuine blessing.

A Lonely Harvest, 2020
This was shot in the tiny town of Dalgety, NSW. Stunning country. Ngarigo land.
We drove past a giant rock. That’s what started this whole thing. We couldn’t stop laughing at the idea of a film about a giant rock. It went left from there in the best possible way, we let it, and this film came together.
Huge shoutout to my co-creator on this, the amazing actor and artist Liv Rian - this was soooo much fun to make.
Claymates, 2020
I had just landed back in Australia and was in mandatory quarantine. In order to finish off the school year, I was doing online classes all through the night, and losing my mind in the process.
One of our teachers, I think at a loss as to what on earth to do with us, told us to each make a film about isolation. So, sleep deprived and feeling a little insane, I made this.
You can tell I had just taught myself to sculpt. My mum still has these guys sitting around on shelves in her house.

Sunday School, 2019
This was a random piece of writing that spewed out of my head one day on a bus. I told my friend Claude Hooper about it and he came over one afternoon and shot this.

I went to chase the shadows of my mother’s youth.
I left with so much more.
This footage was all filmed randomly and sporadically across the country, and cobbled together in homestays and hostels along the way. No real plan, just a reflection of the rhythm of our journeying.

This was another really special project to work on. Humongous thanks to my partner in crime on this one @rachelbethjackson . You’re amazing. Thanks for playing along with all my stupid jokes and indulging my crazy. I’m so glad we got to give these two characters their time in the sun.
