Yall, I’ve been in this Anatomy & Physiology course trenches 😤 on top of work and kids, goodness. Learned all the bones, muscles, and ligaments in the hip and thigh region…felt good about my studying…decided to treat myself to a few hours of painting. Before jumping back into studying for my upcoming midterms, I wanted to share what I worked on today. Finished these two beauties in the process—meet Tallulah and Clementine 😍 Tallulah is acrylic on heavy watercolor paper, 4x6in, 2026 Clementine is acrylic and watercolor on heavy watercolor paper, 4x6in, 2026 Both are $105 each ☺️ link in bio.

7/32 paintings done! ✅ Family life. Work life. 16 hour shifts. Nursing pre-reqs (A&P1 and Nutrition). Still finding time to get in my mini paintings 🥹 Updated grid. One more to go and I’ve gotten a quarter of the project done 💃🏽

[SOLD] A young artist reached out into my DMs. No money for supplies. Asking what to do. I told her: use what you have. You don't need expensive anything to build a portfolio. The work is the work. Then I went and painted Alisa with my daughter's $3 Crayola tempera paints. I wanted to mean what I said. Painting no. 6 is in the grid. Today I was going to work on painting no. 7, but instead enjoyed a housewarming and baby shower of a friend, took naps with my babies, and worked on some side projects. I also applied for a CNA position at Providence!

Chartreuse skin, crimson pink hair. She keeps a held gaze. She makes me want to paint the next one in seafoam and light airy beiges and pinks. Embracing the 🌈 working on cohesion between colors that I wouldn’t typically use for flesh tones. I’m having fun y’all. What should I name her? I don’t think I’ve ever named one of my little ladies before finishing them—but I definitely feel like her personality is coming through strong already.

Update 7 — I made a cover for cohesion between what is a painting from my 32 paintings of consistency as I transition back into the workforce as a CNA :) 2 paintings are heading out to a collector and painting no. 6 is being worked on now before I pick up my husband and kids for the day. Venus technically isn’t apart of my 32 paintings series (she was painted in 2025 for Art in the Pearl), but I filmed her as if she was. I’ll be working on no. 6 today, even though she was in the 6th slot.

The Big Scream, The Silent Weep. I am both of them. The sun screaming. The moon grieving. Both of us/me in the sky, bearing witness to what's happening on the ground below — missiles, bombings, men/women/and children killed. An illegal war fought for self-interests. At the bottom of this painting, what might look like roots growing from the earth is not. It's destruction. That ambiguity is the point. This is The Big Scream, The Silent Weep — acrylic and gouache on Stonehenge oil paper, 9×12 in. The first piece in my In My Own Image series within my online boutique. Original. One of a kind. $375. DM to inquire. SOLD She’s green like new leaves and gold like late afternoon. 🌿☀️ Venus is a 4×6 acrylic + gouache portrait I made for the 2025 Art in the Pearl exhibition, and she’s now available! I was thinking about Black women as nature, as living things, as fresh air. The color palette came fast and felt right immediately, that Warhol energy where color stops pretending to be realistic and starts telling the truth instead. Original on heavy watercolor paper · 4×6 in · $105 + shipping Link in bio to purchase 🔗 Quick question for you 👇 When I post a painting, should I include the back — the title, medium, and my signature? 💚 YES — it makes it feel real, like holding the actual piece and gives more information 🤍 NO — keep it clean, front only

SOLD I had to make this painting its own post. The subtle integration of oranges on the purple, and reds…chefs kiss. Just so beautiful. About to work on painting no. 6 ✨ Afsar ($105) is available ❤️ Link in bio. These pieces have been helping me work through what seems to be WWIII going on. My heart breaks everyday into a million pieces everyday, and painting these are probably one of the few times my anxiety isn’t through the roof and my head is calm. Anyone else feeling this?
