Sheffield City Council News ■The next steps in the Sheffield Local Plan process are as follows. ■We are passing all representations on the proposed main modifications to the Planning Inspectors for them to consider. ■The Inspectors will then publish their final report. ■If the Inspectors find the plan (as modified) to be sound, the Council must decide whether to adopt the Plan. This will be considered first by the Strategy and Resources Policy Committee before then being taken to Full Council. ■We do not yet have a date for the Strategy and Resources Policy Committee or Full Council decision. Overview ■Join us for a panel discussion event to launch our new report on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within Sheffield’s built environment. In conjunction with Sheffield City Council, the panel will discuss the background, themes and takeaways from the report, including how the S-PA approached the research and the consultation process. Speakers include: Justin Homer, Director of Economy, Skills and Culture at Sheffield City Council Olivier Tsemo, CEO at SADACCA Cassie Houlden, Director at KADA Rebecca Roffe, Partner at CMS Tegan Johnson, Associate at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP Through sharing their varied perspectives, the panel will explore how we can collectively support positive change across our sector and within our region – and how this might be the key to moving Sheffield and the built environment from good to great. Refreshments will be provided. This promises to be a great event, but please note that spaces are limited, so please only sign up if you plan to attend.
