Every time I see Sonya or anyone in her family - I’m *always* singing her praises! 💗 You know why? I feel like she believed in my mission to help other women on this motherhood journey. She was the *first* mom I chatted with almost 6 years ago. When she said yes … so many others followed. I was really inspired by how she raised her family through faith and discipline. While my few pictures don’t do it any justice, trust and believe that I had a #transformational weekend at the first annual #fierceloveretreat hosted by @sacurry22 and her incomparable #TEAM! The best part is: I get to #keeplearning and #growing and living through this experience because God is #unfinished with me.
I am truly brought to tears when I ponder this group pic! These 30 women were handpicked by me from a pool of approximately 80 applicants, and they were meant for this retreat and each other. Each of them contributed to the experience in their individual and unique ways, and although they were strangers at the onset of the weekend, they quickly became sisters, friends, and spiritual warriors by the conclusion of the retreat. We prayed, cried, praised, studied, self-reflected, shared, laughed, danced, and feasted together! It truly reminded me of the need for us as believers and women to come together (Hebrews 10:25).
The bond that was cultivated and nurtured is nothing short of miraculous and transformative. They remained open to the experience of transformation, authenticity, and vulnerability, and it paid off. Each of us left rested, encouraged, equipped, and admonished to embark on their “what’s next” with courage, confidence, and intentionality. They are ready to illuminate every space and situation they enter, as well as fiercely love those they encounter, to “let our lights so shine that others will see our good works and glorify our Father” (Matthew 5:16).
I am so thankful to have met each and every one of these ladies, and my life will forever be changed because of each of them.

Over a year and a half, four of these ladies @dd_jones@lexussafford@triniksherman@weslijones and I embarked on an assignment, the Fierce Love retreat!
FLR started as a seed planted by my cousin Detra, but frankly, I thought it was a great idea, though I wasn’t convinced it could happen.
After almost 10+ months of planning, we added one more lady @lilbr1t , and the rest is history!
What I thought was impossible, God showed was possible with Him (Luke 18:27). Let me tell you that God melded all five of our talents, and when we encountered obstacles, He removed them, and when we felt incompetent, He gave wisdom, and when we lacked resources, He provided! God has shown up and out during every step of this journey, for although we were orchestrating the planning process, it was God who prospered our plans (Proverbs 19:21).
I am so grateful for each and every one of these ladies! They remained passionate, committed, joyful, and encouraging throughout the process, even when I grew weary; they anchored me and kept me focused on my calling from God, remaining steadfast to the assignment!🧡
