We asked @sackmarf to rank his All Time 10 favorite tricks.
Mack can front-film a Mason Silva hill bomb line, keep up with Grant Taylor*, and patiently film 20 sessions with Teddy Seeley flinging polejam late pressure flips. But beyond his distinguished filming, he has the inimitable balance of personality, work-ethic, and spirit to make tricks happen.
Any filmer can learn to gel with their small crew. But after nine years as staff videographer for Deluxe, working on projects with every one of their brands, Mack can keep up with, cultivate, and reign in the biggest crews with the widest range of personalities.
He camps with the Antihero team. He makes his own salsa for the session, keeping the crew fed. If enthusiasm is low, he’ll skate the spot first to get everyone hyped (which typically involves an impressive boneless variation). He keeps up with large, raucous crews while still being the responsible one driving the van. In short, Mack can hang.
*Mack did shatter his elbow filming Grant bombing a hill in San Francisco, but who wouldn’t?
