Happy 2 months of hijab to myself 🧕I don’t know why but it honestly it feels like I’ve been wearing it for so much longer??🥹 There’s a peace and serenity I feel with it on that I can’t really explain because it’s a deep feeling. I feel sooo privileged to be able to carry my religion with me in such an outward way—it’s a constant reminder of who I am 🧕 Lately I’ve been practicing more gratitude every single day. It’s been grounding me, giving me perspective, and reminding me that this dunya is truly temporary.
Now to share some inner thoughts- yes there are some days I may not feel my “prettiest”—and I’m learning that that’s okay. I know that is a journey and we should give ourselves so much more grace because no one’s perfect. I’m learning how to love myself all over again, and slowly but surely, falling in love with the hijab as every day passes by 🫶🏻🤍
