It's been an absolutely awesome 10+ year run for S2K Challenge but in 2021 it's time for a new chapter in socal time attack with @honda_time_attack .
Heads up our season finale at buttonwillow on the 19th is almost sold out. If you're planning on competing get signed up ASAP or be sad from the sidelines.

Fun day at a fun track for our s2kchallenge competitors. Streets of willow is always a good one!
Coming in first in supermod (AO52s made his street car a SM car) was @hdez with a blistering fast 1:23.4, great job sir!
Our mod class podium consisted of the ever-consistent and ever-quick @anorexicpoodle coming in first with a 1:24.6. on his heels was @tlc_s2k who had a scary hub failure into turn one in the second session. His first lap was good for a 1:25.4 and second place. Rounding out the podium was fernando with a 1:27.7 after having transponder issues in the second session.

This past weekend s2kchallenge drivers enjoyed their second event back from the covid hiatus and this time we were at buttonwillow's famous 13cw. With limited running in session two following a crash at "the wall of champions", the competition was tight!
In mod class we had 6 competitors. Robert Burch showed up and ran a 1:59.7 and edged Ryan Delgrosso for the win in class by just a few hundredths of a second, with Jacob Mitchell following close behind the pair with a 2:00.2.
In supermod we had the legend Dustin Deserro sitting a top a lonely podium putting down a blistering 1:52.3 in the new @rockstargarage_s2k GTA s2000.
Finally street class saw some quick times in the hot weather with Jason Parraga putting down a 2:02 and Levi Wenzel with a 2:04.
This completed our competition for the weekend. Remember s2kchallenge is free fun, so if you've got an s2000 and you want to have fun, compete, and hang out with other s2000 owners at the track be sure to sign up when registering.

This past sunday S2K challenge drivers finally were welcomed back after the long quarantined hiatus to a buttonwillow config none had ever seen before: 26CCW. Running counter-clockwise combined with adding the star mazda corner and eliminating phil-hill resulted in blistering 5th gear entry speeds to riverside and lots of drivers testing their cars and courage on this virtually unknown configuration.⠀

Street class showed NorCal flexing their muscle with Gabriel Rothman making the long drive down and setting a blistering 2:09.863 wingless on this power config, with Levi Wenzel coming in right behind with a 2:11.768⠀

Mod class was where most of the action landed with top honors being cinched by Ryan Delgrosso with a 2:04.143 in Red 3 after battling with early day fuel starvation. Hot on his heels was Jacob Mitchell with a 2:04.610 set in Green3 again after a morning of transponder and clutch troubles. Bronze was picked up by NorCal driver and series veteran Sohan Kota with a 2:05.562⠀

Super-Modified showed a wild cast of builds and characters, being led by Dustin Dessero with a 1:58.125 flexing his boosted muscle, with Martin Riente picking up second in a naturally aspirated car on race tires with a 2:00.650. Rounding out the podium was Rockstar Garages very own Justin Taylor with a 2:02.778⠀
