JOHANNES WU & ELIA NEVALAINEN
My design process doesn't begin directly from trends, but from emotions. I work with memories and the subconscious.
Darkness does not appear ugly or frightening. It's a deep and honest state in which emotions are exposed. From it arises beauty that's not polished, but lived.
My clothes and artworks are like protective shells, but they do not hide, they support. Materials, textures and forms act as a way of expressing emotions when words aren't enough.
I work intuitively and allow the process to be slow. Darkness requires space. I do not aim for perfection, but for honesty. Often roughness and asymmetry make the work feel more alive and more human. I want my works to be felt, not just seen.
Fashion and art are ways for me to transform difficult experiences into something meaningful. They are ways to create beauty in places where it wasn't originally meant to exist. Even in darkness there is sensitivity, and fragility can be a strength. -J.W
My artistic sources and methods shift according to my life situations and states of mind, but for some time now I have allowed my work to be a mixture of the surplus of my heavier energies -Things I haven't otherwise understood how to
release or process in time.
I therefore give power to unprocessed shadows, which my subconscious lets spill into the physical world as unstructured blends, for myself and others to examine.
A central and reocurring phenomenom hes been the inversion of my subjective sense of beauty. I've focused the starting point of my art on the opposites of what attracts me. Seeking beauty in ugliness.
The above likely reveals that my soul often gravitates toward the darkest corners of the subject.
Self expression, at times, feels like my last remedy.
Right now, I am trying not to control or direct anything.
I lie in the passenger seat, and let the shadows steer. -E.N.

A two designer clothing brand, born from the designers drive to create and their love for art and fashion.
The brand takes inspiration from the cold north that the designers were raised by, and the people, expectations, environments and situations that brought them where they are today.
Finally back from their break, with a full rebrand for their first ever full collection at Sinä & Minä.

SILVER POISONING by @s1lverfields
What remains when the mouth, the eyes, or the body do not dare or are unable to say enough?
What is the darkness that lingers between sparse words?
Deeply rooted in the soil of Northern Finland, fundamental values such as humility, modesty, diligence, honesty and religion are entwined within our souls across Ostrobothnia. Hundreds of thousands circulate a blue-and-white elixir in their veins. The weight of this mixture is powerful and when used correctly, an excellent fuel for surviving in life.
However, when the value system is built very firmly around survival, and the role of the underdog and one's own smallness are adopted already at birth, it causes various pains as the mold compresses an overgrown soul.
This has long been part of a vicious cycle, whose invisible fractures it is our task to break and to reveal its shadow sides.
In its first collection Silver Poisoning, Silverfields examines the culminations of Nordic darkness by creating abstract and multilayered interpretations of situations that could have been prevented by tearing down the invisible walls of silence and shame.
The aim is to give a voice in the field of fashion to people who are not particularly interested in whether that the voice exists at all.

’25 LOOKBOOK PT.1
~On the border of light and shadow, reflections blind the entangled soul. In the darkness, the senses take over. Fragile as the last ice sheets of spring, invisible to those who see.
The last straw.
It doesn’t promise a miracle. It doesn’t scream. It just is.
And when your fingers tremble and grab it, you notice it.
It doesn’t carry the whole world, but it carries a moment.
Even a small moment can be enough.
