Treasured moments with my big, beautiful family!
Recently, we visited the stunning Swaminarayan Temple in New Jersey with my parents, grandparents from both sides, and of course, my little self!
We offered puja, watched a fascinating movie, and indulged in a delicious Indian feast - special thali and chaat, yum!
The temple’s breathtaking architecture and serene water fountain left me in awe (or rather, coos and giggles!)
But what’s most precious to me is the time spent with my loving family. As a 1-year-old, these moments are my treasure to keep forever!

Haircut day with Mamma!
Ryu’s haircut was an adventure! He started off like a pro, sitting cool in his car chair at the kids’ friendly salon.
But, as soon as the scissors started snipping, my little trooper got a bit overwhelmed and the tears flowed!
Mamma to the rescue! I scooped him up and we finished the haircut in my lap. He may not have loved the experience, but he looks absolutely handsome now!
Daddy was waiting to pick us up and couldn’t stop smiling at the freshly trimmed boy!

Special moments to treasure forever! My dada, dadai, didun and thammu has come to visit us in the USA for the first time from India! I’m just 1 year old, and I’m still trying to figure out who’s who!
As I waited at the airport, I saw a flurry of activity... My Dada (grandfather) came running towards me, followed by Didun (grandmother) and Thammu (grandmother)! I was a bit overwhelmed, but so excited to see them all!
And then, I met Dadai (grandfather)... I was a little confused, but they all showered me with love and hugs!

The day had finally arrived! My husband and I arrived at the hospital, eager to meet our little one. As we checked in and settled into our room, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions - excitement, nervousness, and anticipation. Little did I know, the next 15 hours would be a test of endurance and strength as I labored to bring our baby boy into the world.
The contractions came and went, each one more intense than the last. My husband held my hand, coached me through breathing, and wiped away my tears. After 15 hours of labor, it was finally time to push! The next 5 hours were a blur of sweat, tears, and determination. With each push, I felt like I was getting closer to meeting our little one.
And then, suddenly, he was here! The first time I held him in my arms, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and joy. My husband and I gazed into his tiny eyes, marveling at the tiny human we had created. We spent the next few days in the hospital, getting to know our little one and learning how to care for him.
Finally, the day came when we got to take our baby boy home! As we packed up our belongings and said goodbye to the hospital staff, I felt a sense of excitement and nervousness. We carefully strapped our little one into his car seat, and off we went on our new adventure as a family of three.
As we pulled into our driveway, I felt a sense of pride and happiness. We had done it! We had brought our baby boy into the world, and now we got to watch him grow and thrive in our very own home. We spent the next few days snuggling, feeding, and getting to know our little one in the comfort of our own space.
Looking back, our hospital journey was just the beginning of an incredible adventure. Bringing our baby boy home was a dream come true, and we couldn’t wait to see what the future held for our little family.

My pregnancy bump progression… 🤰
In the final weeks, my bump was a reminder that our time was limited, that soon we’d hold our baby in our arms. We felt a sense of urgency, a desire to cherish every moment, every kick and every flutter. Tears of joy and anticipation streaming down our faces, we would whisper ‘we love you’ to our baby, our hearts overflowing with emotion.
Throughout this journey, our bump has been a constant reminder of the miracle growing inside me. We’ve felt a deep sense of love, wonder, and awe, as we’ve nurtured and protected this precious life. As my bump grew, so did our love, filling us with joy and anticipation for the little one who would soon be ours to hold and cherish.
