A bar that’s been part of the rhythm of Haymarket for years.
Dark wood, a steady pour, and a room that settles into itself as the evening goes on.
Ryrie’s keeps things as they should be: well-kept ales, familiar faces, and a space that carries its history without needing to say much.
When are you stopping by?

From 7th – 10th May, pints of @oakhamales will be pouring behind the bar for just £4 each.
The selection will be shared soon. In the meantime, mark your calendars!
Our building still bears the name of Alexander Ryrie, the original owner, giving a nod to our long history.
It’s a reminder of where we started and how we’ve carried that legacy forward.
Step in and experience the tradition that’s still very much alive.
We have a quick update for you: from April onwards, our upstairs bar at Ryrie’s will be open daily, Monday to Saturday, from 5pm.

See you upstairs!
A new independent whisky has found its way onto the shelf at Ryrie’s.
Aberfeldy 2011, 14-Year-Old, a single cask release from @gordonandmacphail ’s Spirit of Scotland series, with just 604 bottles produced.
A Speyside dram with a bit of age behind it, offering a softer, honeyed profile with a rounded finish.
Two constants on the bar at Ryrie’s, and for good reason.
The @fyneales Jarl and @timothytaylorsbrewery Landlord are our permanent cask ales, both well liked and consistently poured. Jarl brings a light, crisp hop profile, while Landlord leans more balanced and rounded.
If you’re after a reliable pint, neither of these will let you down.
Small plates are a firm favourite at Ryrie’s.
If you’re in for a drink and fancy something on the side, the haggis fritters and chicken goujons are easy choices.
Straightforward, well-made, and ideal for a light bite at the bar.
Heading to the Hearts match tomorrow?
Ryrie’s is in a great spot for a quick pint before kick-off, or for some post-match drinks.
We’re a short walk from Haymarket, with a solid range behind the bar and plenty of room to settle in.
Pay us a visit on your way through.
The Tamdhu 2007 18yo from @gordonandmacphail is an independent bottling matured in sherry casks, offering notes of dried fruit, spice and oak with a long, warming finish.
Ryrie’s is the perfect place to try it, complete with stained glass windows that nod to our history. A proper dram, in a proper setting - you ken what to do.
