We were so honoured to have ATB Financial join us once again for the RYP Honours. A special thank you to Hannah DiNardo, Director of Workforce Strategy, for presenting the ATB Youth Empowerment Award. Having ATB in the room and continuing to show up for our youth means so much to our community.
Every year, ATB team members also volunteer their time to support the event, helping welcome guests and working the registration table. Their partnership goes far beyond sponsorship, it’s rooted in genuine care and investment in young people.
This year’s Youth Empowerment Award was presented to our ambassador Hiba, who has been part of the RYP family for the past 5 years. Watching Hiba grow into the thoughtful, confident, and inspiring leader she was always meant to be has been such a gift. We are incredibly proud of her and grateful for all that she brings to our community.
Partnerships like this help make it possible for us to celebrate youth achievements while continuing to create opportunities for learning, growth, and empowerment.

Our Senior Dreamers and Junior Ambassadors have been putting in the work, learning their lines, building confidence, and stepping into their voices as they prepare for the RYP Honours stage.
Over the past few months, they’ve been sharpening their public speaking skills with Ambassador Xavier, picking up the tools to walk on stage and truly command attention. With every session, their confidence grows and it shows.

At RYP, we create space for our Dreamers and Ambassadors to grow into who they’re meant to be and then we stand beside them as they rise.
RYP has shaped Halimat’s journey both professionally and academically: helping her believe in herself, step into roles she once doubted, and prove that she is the leader she always had the potential to be.
From Ambassador to now serving on our Strategic Leadership Team, she embodies what it means to grow through community. Through RYP, she’s come to understand that success isn’t just personal, it’s about uplifting those around you.
Today, as she continues her path from pharmacy into medical school, carrying forward her goal of becoming a doctor, we know the leadership and community-building skills she’s developed here will continue to guide her impact.
We are so proud of all she’s accomplished and all that’s still ahead.
