Spooky clown scare me! One benefit of having no paid streaming services is that if a show is good enough, I get to watch it in 4k for the first time when it hits physical media. I've heard good things about Welcome to Derry so I'm stoked to update the saga of Pennywise the dancing clown with another 4k uhd steelbook!!! Beep beep Richie!
The collector gods smiled upon me today! Paid off big time being the first person in the door because this out of print beauty was on the cart of things to go out. Assuming it'd be in the $100+ range like all the listings online are i had to look to see for myself and almost did a backflip when I saw that price tag. Now that this has officially joined my collection on blu ray, im sure that Peter Jackson will finally get to that 4k hes been teasing for years!
4k upgrades are always an easier choice when you get not only new slipcover art, but new interior art as well. Finally the 4k interior art is the same artwork as the vhs I remember seeing in the video store from the old days. Blue Monkey aka Insect is a fun giant insect 80s cheese fest. Love it!
Had a killer day cruising around @wunderkammerstore with the homie @sketchpoplife geeking out on retro stuff and marveling at the awesome feats of creativity on display.
Huge shout out to Alex at @retro_ufo for the trade on a killer copy of Alligator on vhs. One of my most rented horror tapes of my formative years. The pool scene is still one of the most terrifying things imaginable.
Battle of the beasties! With 5 titles each between them and one crossover bringing the two franchises together, which one of these 90s creature feature series is the best? Anaconda and its sequels has the bigger star power with the likes of Ice Cube, J Lo, David Hasslehoff Paul Rudd and Jack Black, but Lake Placid has a giant crocodile and Betty White telling a police officer "if i had a dick this is where id tell you to suck it". And be honest, you didnt even know these movies had official sequels did you? 😉

There are a select few films in the collection that merit an upgrade to whatever the newest/best format is because they beg to be seen in the absolute highest quality. Frank Henenlotter's 90s masterpiece Frankenhooker just so happens to be one of those films. Wanna date? Lookin' for some action?!
