@vex_media_photo and I have made silly birthday videos for many people over the years. I made one for Alex a couple years ago. But, I never received one myself… until now. For context, I have always thought neck braces are just inherently funny. Also for context, I suffered a serious neck injury the day before he gave this to me and he almost trashed it. So glad I didn’t lose my sense of humor.
My Bubbe laid the foundation of love and tradition for multiple generations of my family. We didn’t have much and she always made us feel like it was more than enough. I loved that she worked or volunteered as the friendly lady who rips your ticket at the movie theater. I’m so lucky she passed along her love for art and storytelling to me and I do my best to honor that every day. I love you, Bub.
