Some months ago, i was sent a script to record a jingle in Igbo. When i recorded and sent it back, the client swore that I was a pure igbo person. I later found out that the job was actually given to two different people and the finished work was rejected because they didn't sound "igbo enough."
I told them i am an Edo person that cannot speak igbo and have never been to the East but the man no gree... Lol
I honestly don't know how i do it but i find it easy to do accents and voices even in languages i do not understand.
Anyways, I recently got a gig to record a jingle in hausa. Please listen and tell me what you think....
