In january of last year this world lost one tough s.o.b to his fight with depression. I wokeup today and wrote this in his memory, and for everyone else who has lost someone to Suicide.
It's not the answer.

What stands firm was tested first,

I've watched comfort soften men,
Turn sharp resolve into pretend.
I chose pressure,
Chose the strain,
Chose to carry what would remain.
Some nights stripped me to the bone,
Left me standing on my own.
But what survived those hours then
Is the reason I'm still in.
You don't earn depth staying clean,
You earn it where you've been.
No glory without damage,
No triumph without scars.
I don't trust a perfect story,
I trust what's been marked hard.
I don't hide what shaped my frame,
I don't polish where I bled.
I respect the marks that stayed,

I don't glorify the hurt,
I don't worship what it took.
But I know what pressure builds
When you don't look away.
Some strength only shows its face
After comfort's been erased.
No glory without damage,
No honor without cost.
I didn't rise untouched or clean,
I rose aware of what I lost.
I don't envy softer wins,
Or paths that never cracked.
I stand steady, clear, and grounded
Because of what attacked.
If you see me calm today,
Don't assume it came for free.
It was shaped in moments no one ever came to see.
I don't regret the weight I carry,
It taught me how to manage.
What I am wasn't accidental...

There's a high i couldn't find anywhere else but on the stage.. when life had me leave the stage for a while, I found that high in substances.
Now.. I wouldn't trade my best day high for my worst day sober.
It was dark and hell was hot...
But I made it out.
If I can. So can you. 💯
Make the choice to make the change, and watch the universe give you back everything you lost and more.

The more at peace i become, the less i tolerate chaos..
I've stopped explaining myself to people committed to misunderstanding me.
I've stopped showing up in places that disturb my calm.
I've chosen silence over proving my point.
I'm fine with distance over forced connection.
