Traditionen tro inviterer Musikhuset og Aarhus Jazz Orchestra til Jazzgalla under Aarhus Jazz Festival. Denne gang tager Aarhus Jazz Orchestra imod jazzlegenden Michel Camilo og hans kvartet. Michel Camilo dykker sammen med bigbandet ned i sit karibiske ophav og forener rige harmonier, jazzhistoriske rødder og uovertruffen klaverteknik med latinjazzens legende lethed.
Michel Camilo er latinjazzens regerende konge og har gennem de seneste fire årtier modtaget priser verden over for sine udgivelser. Det er energien fra Tito Puente og den sofistikerede klangverden fra Bill Evans, der mødes i hans musik.
Glæd dig til en stor jazzaften, når Store Sal bliver fyldt med international jazzstemning og en uforglemmelig koncert, hvor vi kommer godt omkring i bagkataloget og hører højdepunkterne fra Camilos to store bigbandalbums One More Once og Essence.
In keeping with tradition, Musikhuset and Aarhus Jazz Orchestra invite you to the Jazz Gala during the Aarhus Jazz Festival. This time, the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra welcomes jazz legend Michel Camilo and his quartet. Michel Camilo, together with the big band, dives into his Caribbean origins and unites rich harmonies, jazz historical roots and unparalleled piano technique with the playful lightness of Latin jazz.
Michel Camilo is the reigning king of Latin jazz and has received awards worldwide for his releases over the past four decades. It is the energy of Tito Puente and the sophisticated sound world of Bill Evans that come together in his music.
Look forward to a great jazz evening, when the Great Hall will be filled with an international jazz atmosphere and an unforgettable concert, where we will get to know the back catalogue well and hear the highlights from Camilo's two great big band albums One More Once and Essence.
