I usually don’t get long winded in my captions, but this one is extra special for me. After hundreds of emails sent to artists and management teams to find a set to shoot at
@electric_forest , it was looking like I was going to have to leave my camera at home this year. June came around, and with no media creds in sight, I was getting discouraged…I mean…Electric Forest is where I fell in love with show photography as part of the UnMediated team, it’s where I got engaged to
@sare_jane last year, it’s where I’ve spent some of my most special moments with my best friends- and it always means a lot to be able to enjoy my passion at the place I love the most. Once again…The Forest came through.
With the later lineup addition of the amazingly talented
@jasonleechmusic and a hail mary DM slide, it looked like there might be a chance. Jason and his team moved some mountains to let me shoot his performances this year and I don’t think Instagram captions allow enough words for me to fully express my gratitude…maybe these photos can speak to how it felt to capture the magic of his performance?
From the way Jason’s music hit the crowd, to seeing a wonderful human absolutely crush it up on stage, to the butterfly that landed on him (and whatever that moment personally symbolized to everyone who witnessed it), to just being able to have an amazing last day in the forest…the magic was there and we were home. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it. 💚🌲
