Had a wicked time in Kamloops at the KTSA Bowbenders shoot. The entire gang were up slinging arrows all over the place! Super awesome shooting and definitely going back next year!
Had a killer time in Alberta last week chasing Mullie’s and pronghorn with the bow with my buddy Shawn Rebman. I passed on a few deer hoping to get another crack at the one in the pic but we got rained out on the last day. Got to within 89y of a pronghorn and his does before we got busted so that was fun. What a hard place to hunt! At any rate I came home with no deer but I did manage to find a buddy for Levi. Moose will be a great addition to the family! Welcome home Moose!
Had a great day shooting the second to last BCPRL Rimfire match of the season for me up in sunny Squamish BC. Huge thanks to Michael Bae and Josh Botha for putting on a great one. Thanks fellas! I managed the W but it was tight! So many good shooters out here now it’s awesome! And the drive home was pretty awesome too! Thanks B for all the pics today!
This was the second match I ran the Ultimatum Precision Deuce in a new #mdtchassis ACC elite after switching it over. Immediately all the issues I had with bad bottom metal fitment on the last stock went away and it ran like a champ never missing a beat with both the Deuce and Vudoo mags.
Very excited for next season with this chassis!
Of course I was running an IBI 1/14 with the IBI Prevail chamber launching Eley match. Crazy accurate !
On top was the Delta Stryker optic that works awesome!
On the bottom was the warhorse butcher boy bag that hangs on anything.

I'm home and processing my performance at the 1st World Rimfire championships in Italy.
It wasn't a good match for me and I didn't shoot anywhere near my usual which was disappointing to me(and the team) for sure. I have pretty high standards for myself.
Nonetheless it was my first go somewhere with that big of a time zone shift and I feel like that part I didn't handle correctly. In hindsight I would likely double the amount of pre-match days to help acclimatize myself to the shift, and go from 2 to 4 days. I might also cut back on the amount of walking we did on the pre-match days lol. We did over 36 km of walking in 2 days!
Each shooting day I started out shooting well but by noon/1pm Italy time(3-4 am Vancouver time) I faded hard and couldn't keep my head in it. So that was interesting for sure.
Also I felt like my abilities would get me through, which was wrong. This was a pretty difficult match which, in a lot of ways, I hadn't prepped properly for. Not easy trying to keep businesses running smoothly at the same time. Big mistake there for sure.
Going forward practice on smaller targets that are either skylined or positioned so that no feedback is available other than actually looking for the shot, will become part of my routine.
I did learn some cool things that will help me here and that experience was worth the price of admission in itself.
Proud of how my countrymen handled themselves on the world stage and they impressed me for sure.
Well done team ! The next one will be better. I will be better. We will be better.
And perhaps the best part was meeting and hanging out with like minded folks from all over the world. Shooters are shooters no matter where we are from. It's the friendliest and most helpful community in the world. Of that I have no doubts!! So easy to make good friends.
