Finding gratitude in the process of grief… step by step I am working through it all.
At the end the day i was lucky to have 47 great years with Mom…and I’ll remind my self each day -
It’s not Poor me at all- I’ve been lucky and i owe lots of that to my amazing mother and my family…

I’ve been here before and I’m back here again. I’m struggling with words this time around…. It happened so fast I’m a bit at a lose and processing seems harder
On April 11th 2026, I lost my mother Polly Runke as she passed away and is back with my dad.
You say you try to prepare for this stuff, but the truth is you can’t. As i said I’ve done this before, i thought i had the playbook but the truth is there is no playbook… you cant plan or prepare for it…
So for now, I’m just sitting with it and trying to find the lesson….
I’m sure the lesson will show up sometime, i hope and believe it will… but I’m grateful for all my mother gave me, did for me and the amazing energy and light she gave the entire world and everyone they as lucky enough to meet her…

What do you say here? Wish I could have 5 more min? Maybe jn a few years it will get easier? Grateful for being your son, thankful for what you taught me? Honored you trusted me to take care of the family. I guess all of those things -
But really I’m greatful for my growth and that I’m surrounded by brothers and people that support me and love me with out question…i realize that lots of people don’t even have that…
So i guess I’ll just say I love ya Pops… I’ll see ya again someday🙏 - 2 years feels like a lifetime ago

I’m so grateful that my wonderful and amazing child still sends me Halloween photos at 25! Now they just get dressed up and go to Raves and I love their energy!
