Four tournaments down, one to go. Another year has come and gone for these boys. Looking forward to seeing them grow even more together into next year! š
Started and finished my pro sports career in the same place. This is my final week as VP of marketing at DCFC. I always wanted to work in sports, and I got to do so in both my hometown (Pittsburgh) and in a pretty amazing place (Detroit).
At the end of the day, I couldnāt take my family away from their roots. Iāve chased my dreams for a long, long time, and Iāve accomplished nearly everything Iāve wanted to, career-wise. But, my biggest dream was to be a dad and husband, and to raise my kids with my incredible wife.
I worked for decades to go into sports, I got there, and had a lot of success. I wouldnāt change a thing, other than the time I missed with Kari and the boys, and you just donāt get that back. Life is short. Life is fragile. And, you only get one shot at it.
Pittsburgh & Detroit: it was everything I dreamed about and so much more. Thank you for everything š«¶
Uh oh, here comes someoneās dad with his camera š
When I made this walk-in photo style, I didnāt think itād be any good. I just kept messing with it, over and over and over, trying to capture that āDetroitā vibe. Finally, after about 40 minutes of overthinking it all, we had to get them posted so I sent them over to our social-media manager and moved along (hoping that people didnāt think it sucked for the teamās sake).
Guess it caught on š¤·š»āāļø
Big thanks to @weerd_machinist for snapping this so I could get my own walk-in photo in that style šøš¤
