From running down lawmakers on the Hill, to the campaign trail and around the world- Frank always has my back. I am lucky to call him a colleague and friend. President Trump signed a funding bill to end the 75-day partial government shutdown ahead of a critical deadline when emergency funding for thousands of workers would run out. The bill restores funding for the Department of Homeland Security which includes key agencies like FEMA, the Secret Service and the TSA. Firefighters are battling a landfill fire in a Phoenix suburb that is expected to take several days to extinguish. Crews were able to rescue a kitten that was stuck inside the debris and theyâre now working to find it a new home.
