Numero OCHO!
When I first started working for SWS back in 2016..I was blessed to get the June and July covers back to back my first two months working for SWS. The following cover they were looking for was a snook! I had been following “this kid” from Jupiter for quite a few months and I sent this fella a message about fishing with him for the potential cover..fast forward to 2024 and a great friendship later we finally made it happen. It certainly wasn’t for a lack of trying and great snook along the way!
I’m stoked to finally get Ryan (@ryannitz ) on the cover after all this time. But, I’m certainly way more appreciative of our friendship that has continued to grow over the years. As the saying goes..all great things come to those who wait..well, we’ve certainly shared great things together while we’ve been waiting!
Finally, we don’t have to pretend to be friends no more. 🤣
Here’s to chasing number 9. 🙏
Thankful for you my brother. 🤝

The New Cabo 3000 is a versatile little reel that has the muscle and attitude of a 6k.

Some of you know him as Trump Jr, I just know him as Don the dude who enjoys shooting gobs just as much as I do. #osceola #migraammo #flcamo #benellisbe3 #burrisfastfire3
🦃🦃The most wonderful time of the year! Set up between two gobblers, yelped the far one in from 500 yards out, then the closer bird finally commits. An epic Osceola hunt with my boy @ryannitz #turkeyhunting
After 8 miles of hearing and seeing absolutely nothing, I poked my head thru a palmetto late in the afternoon to find these 2 longbeards tangled in a battle to the the death. Congrats to my homie @tatteduphunterboi persistence paid off! #publicland #osceola #turkeyhunting #florida #migraammo @migraammunitions
I think I was inside the @nwtf_okeechobee_osceolas banquet for maybe 30 seconds before I was figuring out how I was going to get this painting from @sambutlerartist of a panther stalking a group of gobs at fly down home. Recently both my wife and I have become huge fans of the Butler family’s artwork. For those who don’t know Robert Butler was one of the original 26 highwayman known for painting the woods and waters around the Florida Everglades and selling them while traveling up an down the highways in the 60 and 70s. Robert has since passed away but his children Daniel, Dorene, and Sam have continued the family legacy, proof it’s in the DNA! I appreciate the scenes the family paints as I see it vanishing faster and faster as the days pass. I’ve been talking back and forth with Sam and we are in the process of getting the painting prepped for some prints to be made. If you would like to be one of the few let me know as they will be limited. Sizes will be 30x40, 24x36, and 18x24. Check out the cypress frame he can have done for you as well in the last slide, I can also have Sam personally sign it for you.
Kind of like speck fishing, but way better. @reel_finesser turning me on to the @nomadtackle_usa vibe, these lures are legit! @quantum.fishing making light work of this red tying to get into the bridge, Myth rod paired with a Strive reel 🤘🏽 #testedbeyondlimits
Snook fishing in 35 degrees wasn’t an option, so I took the opportunity to bang the drums with my homie @reel_finesser . Zay came and fished with me a few years ago and since then has started his own guiding business and is dialed in on the space coast. These next few months are prime time for his area so give him a shout if you’re trying to get tight, not going to lie these black drum were way more fun than I anticipated. @quantum.fishing@irukandji_tackle@eastcapeboats

Showing up for clean water means taking action when it matters most, wearing your CFCW hat to spread our mission, educating others and bringing more people into the fight, traveling to Tallahassee and D.C. to advocate, attending our events to stay informed on the latest water quality updates, sharing our message on social media....and Ryan does it all.
Ryan is a committed advocate, driven by his passion to protect these wild places for generation to come, and he's a true example of what it means to be a steward for our waters.
"I couldn’t tell you the last time I went over a week without being either on the water or in the woods. If they don’t exist, neither do I. Therefore it’s super important to involve ourselves in organizations like Captains For Clean Water to insure these estuaries having a standing chance to remain for generations to come." -Ryan
Huge thanks to Ryan for always always stepping up when we need him 💪
