CAFA @cafawards glam round up and when I say we showed up, I mean we showed up. 🖤🖤🖤🖤 Had the absolute pleasure of getting three incredible women ready for the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards, and the energy from start to finish was just… next level. First, the stunning the icon herself @lcchan Model of the Year nominee (as she should be). We went all in: full glam, camera-ready, and a GRWM moment for @ellecanada wearing @mariofugnitto For the hair, we wanted it to feel elevated but unexpected. I created a sculpted, floating 3D ponytail something that felt almost weightless, like it was moving with her. Lauren’s vision was that wind-swept effect, so I built the structure to hold that illusion from every angle. 🖤 Then @dianacarrelli the woman behind the magic, my agent, mentor, she’s the one who keeps it all moving along with the whole @p1magency family. Keeping her look polished, elevated and quietly ( fierce, chic sexy and bass ass) yet powerful felt very correct. Hair cut and styled by me. #ryanlmcgovern #hairbyMcG And my love, my partner in crime @caroline_levin Makeup Artist of the Year nominee and one of the sharpest creative minds I know. After spending the weekend together, we realized we’re way more alike than we thought… which honestly makes perfect sense. For hair, we kept it tousled and effortless a quick updo with soft pieces left out for movement. Let’s call it a “5-minute hair moment,” but honestly, those are always the best ones in my opinion. Nights like this just hit different. Canadian fashion is in its moment, the talent, the vision, the presence… Undeniable being in the room, creating, collaborating, and celebrating with people at this level? That’s the real win. 💋💋💋💋💋💋

It’s wild, humbling and a little surreal to be recognized alongside so many boundary-pushing, insanely talented artists. Like… the level? Unreal. Huge thank you to @cafawards and @vickymilner6 for creating a space that actually celebrates creativity the way it deserves to be celebrated loudly, unapologetically and with style. BUT let’s be real, the best part was being surrounded by my people, friends, artists, collaborators, icons and icons in the making. Canadian talent is on another level right now and I’m so proud to be part of it. And yes… the look. Wearing @themayerofficial blazer moment, sleeves off for little drama and my version of an opera glove has to be leather and biker hahhahaa. Tailored to perfection by @chitambi.chenx (thank you for executing the vision on such short notice). Don’t worry though… the sleeves will be making their return so she can live another life.
