What if your worship song sounded like a film score?
I had the chance to compose and arrange a full orchestral layer over this song written by my amazing wife @harleymonette and myself. I built out the strings, woodwinds, brass, and even a choir to elevate its emotion and impact.
In this reel, you’re hearing:

This is one of my favorite parts of music production, taking a great song and helping it feel bigger, more cinematic, and more immersive!
It’s always a joy and honor to help productions sound the best they can. Supporting story through sound is something I absolutely love.
I’m continually grateful for every opportunity.
This pic was snapped while filming on the Disney Magic.
Such a great time with a solid crew.
It’s Good Friday!!! We wrote this song as a reminder of what JESUS did for us and how the power of His blood 🩸is still working today. The circumstances that Friday looked like the devil had his way BUT GOD… Grateful for Pastor @marthamunizzi who allowed us to record this and is even featured giving a strong prophetic prayer of faith! We are so incredibly grateful for you! 🩷 Truly grateful for everyone who helped on this project (tagged below) 🥹🫶🏼

“He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.” Isaiah 53:7 🐑
I hate to ruin the surprise, but I actually re-recorded and foleyed this entire piece. This was a fun and clever project to be a part of for @disneysprings . From on set location recording, to re-recording and mixing. Figured it was fitting to share a peek behind the sonic curtain now that the Easter season is upon us. Enjoy!
Can’t stop won’t stop! Why should the most important message not be communicated with the best presentation? This matters to me because the gospel message matters! #audioengineer
I wasn’t ready for this.
While it’s one of those things I knew would eventually come, as it’s part of life, if I’m honest, I never really felt the weight of its impending realness when it stayed categorized in my mind as an “eventually.”
Well, “eventually” showed up, and it came suddenly without any warning…
On Sunday, June 8, my amazing father, Philip Michael Monette, went to be with the Lord in heaven.
With the comfort blanket of “eventually” covering the seriousness of reality, I had no time to prepare myself for this.
With one week before Father’s Day I lost my father.
What I would give to have more time with him. Even just an hour. One more phone call. One more hug.
My dad was a truly one-of-a-kind guy with a very bold personality. A character to say the least.
He brought a lot of laughter to the world. He lit up any room he was in and he left lasting impressions on anyone who interacted with him.
At his core, my dad had a deeply caring heart. His love, care, support, and investment in myself and so many others is beyond evident.
He succeeded at raising me and much of who I am today is because of him. Even some quirks.
Though life threw many obstacles at him, from prostate cancer, to constant health complications, numerous near death experiences, he always overcame and only continued to grow as a man.
He loved reading the Bible and cared deeply about his faith.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend.
Thank you Dad for holding on long enough for Mom, Harley, Sofia, and myself to come and see you one last time. I’m grateful Sofia was finally able to meet her amazing grandpa in person.
Dad, I’m thankful you are at peace now, with no more struggles, no more pain, completely healed with all your fingers and toes, taking jump-shots with Jesus.
Holding your hand as you entered heaven will forever be imprinted on my heart.
I will always remain grateful for you, with amazing memories I’ll cherish forever.
Your legacy will live on.
I love you Dad. So very much.
To anyone reading this:
If you knew my dad, would you please share with me any special memories and stories you had with him? It truly would mean so much to me.
