A home that lives like a gallery.
We take a look into Ryan Gander’s Suffolk space from the Popeyes City Boys Room 23, Issue 911. Where his uniquely curated home blends two houses into one story, with a Albers-inspired fireplace, found objects, mood-board rooms, and pieces made by friends.
Quietly playful, beautifully lived-in.

NEW in the collection of museum Beelden aan Zee: Waiting for Timefall (2025) by Ryan Gander. It is the most recent work in Gander’s series of ballerinas, inspired by Degas’ iconic Petite danseuse de quatorze ans (1880–1881).
Director and curator Brigitte Bloksma: “Here we see the ballerina in a moment of stillness, as if waiting for something beyond her reach. This waiting is not a passive act, but a conscious, active state of being. It reflects the tension between the human desire to gain control over the concept of time and its inevitable passing. Thanks to the generous support of private donors, this special acquisition enriches our international collection of contemporary sculpture, offering space for reflection on current themes that help shape our future.”
On view until 4 January in the exhibition Pas de Deux.
