From a painting made in March 2021 (drawing with a paint brush and tattoo ink) is that a painting? Nia asked me if I could transfer what I did on her back. She liked the bold inconsistent lines that the brush had made. The central main design was actually stencilled. I wanted to see how it would work untranslated as it is. The rest was drawn on. The back is a few years healed now and I did the arms recently. We went with a less bold and slightly more texture in the arms. Looking forward to seeing it healed and thank you so much Nia for choosing my “painting” to take up so much of your body. Inspired by lithic stone carvings and nature. More work like this please! Thanks for looking please email for booking

Thank you for the trust and the honour @saintmouse I’ve drawn on designs and tattooed through hair before but the hair wasn’t as long or luscious. I feel funny about cutting hair so I wanted to try tattooing through it. It wasn’t easy and I’m all honesty i did had some reservations before I started drawing. Mouse mentioned he wanted parallel lines but with my twist on it, strong but open I knew he liked spirals and after a sketch on paper exploring different options as examples he decided on the details that felt more botanical Each part of the drawing went on first shot and just felt right. Better and better in fact. By the end of it I was buzzing. The tattoo gods looked after me I think. And I believe mouse wears it well. Thanks to those at the shop who egged me on And thanks again mouse. Thanks for looking and email for booking!

mystery of knowledge lost. Intuitively exploring some ideas. I had some thoughts of mixing design language’s that I wouldnt usually put together to see what they would create. Enjoyed it coming to light. A feeling of ancient yet futuristic. Multi pass. Made august gone, freehand for Mathew. Thank you Thanks for looking email or dm for booking

Not just another tattoo. I was greatful to make this composition which was made spontaneously, somewhat of a flow state a loose mixture of an idea I hadn’t sketched out yet, two of my flash designs betty had voiced she liked and a tattoo I already made on Betty’s thumbs some years earlier. Variations on a theme. The Dimond shape is found all over the globe in ancient times stone carvings, beaker folk pots, one of the oldest abstract art (I’m aware of). I saw them in migraine hallucinations as a child and see them in tree bark on walks and other forms in nature. Even my neighbours door mat and structures of bridges gates and buildings. So happy with how these came out. Both freehand done September. Not too precise not to loose/organic. Thank you Betty. Thanks for looking email or dm for booking. I love tattooing.

Hello my good people. Not just another tattoo. Made with care and enthusiasm for creative growth. After asking for a heart on the wrist and a chat about other things Isabella likes; spirals, flowers and stars. I drew this up to compliment and balance her left hand, beautifully tattooed by @francesco.capro ( I should have taken a photo of them together tbh) I had a lot of fun playing with direction, spacing and expanding on and repeating the existing 4 petal flower motif on the middle finger. The loop and arrow border is inspired from an old book on medieval smock embroidery from different county’s across the uk. Celt spirals. I also made the mistake of not photographing the hand in a fist the flowers on the first and ring finger I placed directly over the knuckles Was a pleasure to draw on and tattoo. Happy with how this turned out. I love tattooing. Thank you for looking, please email or dm for booking.

Do your magic. Was the request I got from Ben, a friend for whom I have a lot of respect. The design had first come to me while I going through a difficult time, as we do. I had gone to visit close friends in a special place in order to aid some growth. Surrounded by hills, green, nature, the light from the sun hidden by the grey and the wet wind. Blowing out the cobwebs. I had the Restlessness that comes with creativity in waiting. I was gladly offered a blank ceramic plate or two to decorate. (Slide 3) Sat sketching outside in the wind and rain with excitement watching it appear, I saw what felt like light at the end of the tunnel. a reminder that both dark and light exist together. The black sun or sun shield, a running theme in my current work. Extending it the chest up reminds me of growth and The overall shape of this composition of Gallantry Awards. The idea was to make it like a giant shooting sun There is something about shooting stars or comets that feel lucky or like a gift. To me they are the arrival of the wishes made. The child like innocence in the wish of a shooting star feels pure. Hopeful. I’m really enjoying tattooing this stuff. So grateful. Thank you Ben. Thank you for looking dm or email for booking.

Traditional Balkan inspired freehand for Ksusha at the top of each is Mokosh the Slavic goddess of the earth, waters and fertility. Like Mother Nature. She is holding a spindle and thread, representing her role as the spinner of fate. I put a grain on her dress as she may also be depicted with a bowl of grain, reflecting her association with the earth and harvest. In Balgrendia, she is depicted as a stoic figure of earth, labor, and resilience, sometimes described as the “Womb of Stone and Seed” or “Mother of Blood and Barley,” Birds either side are bringers of luck and spreaders of seeds and the freedom of flight. Motifs of sun, fertility, growth, compass, roots, honour and protection. The composition is an adaptation of traditional Balkan tattoo made to flow with the shape of the foot and shin. Made November last year in one sitting. Had a real pleasure making these. Thank you Ksusha for the trust and good chats! Thank you for looking email or dm for booking London or Hastings.

I had image floating around in my head before I arrived at this appointment. It was a reference photo of traditional tunic embroidery from Essex. Turns out that’s where Laurel is from. I followed my intuition to draw this on with that in mind while experimenting with new shapes along the way. So, inspired by tunic embroidery, Celtic motifs, Neolithic stone carvings, plants, nature, bell beaker folk markings, historic celestial illustrations, tattoo cultures and my own exploration of those, more and automatic doodles I’ve made. I left a few details for laurel to choose from to fine tune. Including re working some existing tattoos mage by Laurel herself. Freehand one session. Really enjoyed doing these for Laurel. Thanks for the great conversation, the trust and traveling all that way. It was a pleasure working with you. I’m grateful I tattoo it’s a honour to make the tattoos I make with the people who choose me. Thanks for looking email or dm for booking.
